Template is the cross profile of the proposed route like road, canal, pipeline. In AutoPlotter, we can define such templates and attach it with the design elevation (FRL) obtained after carrying out the vertical design. From the design perspective, follow the below given procedure to display the template lines such as toe line, shoulder edge or similar.
Step:2 FRL data generated after the vertical design can be imported using Import Route data from File option. To import the data, it should be in Chainage, Offset and Elevation format. Offset is 0 for center line.
Step:3 After both the data are available, Select Define Template under Section menu.
· Define the Template as per your Typical Cross section. Denote the widths of elements that could change, as notation e.g. CW for carriageway. This is required to accommodate the widening widths as per design requirements. If you specify numerical width, constant width will be applied throughout the length of the route.
· Now apply template from (Route to Apply) FRL to (Project to Route) OGL in Template application.
· Step:5 Select the Create Template Lines option from the list.
· Step:6 Enter the details in the columns:
Section: Route Name as per Section dataCH FROMCH TOTCS: Name of the Template (as given in Define Template under Section menu)EDR: Drain offsetEUT: Utility offset
· Step:7 Click on Generate in Plan to generate template line in the plan.
