How to display area in the cross section after defining it in User Defined Field of Road Estimator?

Dynamic table is used to show the area statement with the cross section.

This could be any predefined areas such as cut / fill, design layers, PCC etc.

It is even possible to define areas in case those are not available in the predefined area list.

Using Variables, User Defined Field, Formula, Custom Enclosed / Line Area, it is possible to define area of choice from the cross section.

Here, we’ll see how to define area using User Defined Field.

Step 1:
Select User Defined Field option under config menu.

To define the area, click on Add button and give name and caption of the area you want to define.

For each cut area or fill area, the region can be from end to end i.e., extreme end points of the selected layer or fixed i.e., fixed anchor points or offset values can be given in the form and to text boxes. In From Layer and To Layer list, all the layers are displayed. You can choose the layers between which the area is to be defined and save the definition.

Step 2: To display this User Defined Field in the area statement, define the Dynamic Table and in the box/field where you want to display the value, press F9 and select the definition. This will display the value of the User Defined Field
