How to generate as built cross sections using survey data in Road Estimator?
We can generate as-built drawings using Field layer option which is available in DATA menu,
Step 1 In Field area definition window, click on Add button. Then define field area details such as Layer Name, Color and import data and save it. Select other properties mentioned below as per your requirement:
Coordinate: to display the field layer coordinates in the coordinate table
Offsets in Table: To display offsets of the field layer in the coordinate table
Display in Cross Section: To display the field layer in the cross section
Line thickness and Linestyle can be specified if required
Step 2: After entering the field area details, process the data, field layer will be generated and displayed as per the definition
Step3:After field layers are generated, to get quantities of that layer with respect to other layer, go to Area or Volume Report
and choose calculation type either End to End or Fixed type
For End to End, calculation will be from extreme left end to extreme right end
For Fixed, give/select (F9) particular offsets based on requirement
select From Layer and To Layer between which quantities are to be calculated
The area / volume will be displayed. This can be saved to other formats or can be directly printed.
